V1 begins with 50% team strength, 30% FBS nonconference results, 10% ranked-team share, and 10% opponent quality. Before a conference has 10 completed FBS nonconference games, unused results weight shifts mathematically to team strength. FCS games and future games are excluded. Missing FPI is never treated as zero.
