Model transparency

How scores are simulated

For a real scheduled matchup, the simulator reuses CFB Intel's stored pregame probability when available. Otherwise baseline margin comes from stored FPI, or the stored scoring differential when FPI is unavailable. Home games receive a 2.5-point adjustment. Each game samples normal football variance around the expected margin and total; tied regulation outcomes are resolved as overtime. The model is statistical and descriptive, not a guarantee.
